Reader Testimonials for the book The Spirit Doll Hat ...

"This very approachable book deals with the questions we all ask about death. "What happens when I die" and "Are my loved ones waiting for me?" It is the true journey of one wonderful woman whose children found out with her, as she was dying, all of those answers. The book Spirit Doll Hat is full of hope and comfort for all of us as we continue into the mystery!

"Ann Wills has written about a subject with which al of us will have or have already experienced, a family's experience with the passing of a parent, in her family's case with cancer. It is a story of the dealing with the cognizance of the fact that a loved one will soon pass while at the the same time trying to remember the good times experienced during their life. More importantly is the spiritual element that lets us all know that this life is only a stepping stone in the grand scheme of existence, and whether or not you have religious beliefs, that there is indeed a power greater than we can imagine that will take us to a better place where we will always be with our loved ones. "I was so excited to read this book. Dr. Wills has shared a wonderful gift by writing this book. I am a hospice nurse and I have always felt dying is a part of the journey of life. This book gives me insight into family's feelings,as well as the deep spiritual side of all of us. I have many times listened to people talk to deceased family members or angels who have "come for" them. I have been sharing this book with other hospice nurses and many of the validate the "black fog". All were deeply touched. I hope it is placed in the library of my facility, I think hurting families can find a level of peace in knowing death is a deeply spiritual experience and we do go on to "something". I urge anyone facing death of a family member or close friend to read this book and use their time together to love each other to deeper level."

"This is a true story , tenderly written about a everyday person who touched the family and friends around her . It reminds us that even if cancer is still at work in the world ,HOPE is still alive and well. You laugh , you cry but most of all you begin to hope again realizing the love one you have lost to cancer or the neighbor you knew so well has not gone away for long and even while life goes on without he or she , someday we will see them again. Cherish the memories and keep that person alive in your heart its going to be okay."

I loved your book. During the entire book, I couldnt help but be amazed at the magnitude of strength of the human spirit... once I started I hated to have to put it down! Can't wait to read your next, or to try some of your mom's recipes. She was quite OBVIOUSLY an amazing woman.

Dear Ann,

I met you at the Tucson Festival of Books this past March, purchased your book and a "spirit doll" headband for my grand daughter.  With my busy schedule, I only now finished this treasure, and just had to tell you how beautifully written and moving your story is.  Yes, I too believe there are no coincidences, and reading your book bolstered my sagging spirit and faith.  I just returned from visiting my own Mom in PA who is suffering with the painful complications of diabetes and COPD...don't know if I'll ever see her alive again since I live in Tucson, and don't make it back there too often.  Thank you for sharing your story, it gives strength and comfort.  I'm sorry for your loss, I know your Mom knows the gift she has in you and your sisters.  I usually only buy books that I am drawn to, and yours called me from the moment I passed your booth!  Many blessings to you,

I finished reading your wonderful book today about your Mother, Mary Marn. What a delightful lady! ...Your book helped me a lot, especially the part about Carol. That was so inspirational to me & answered so many questions.... This book should be in every doctor's and hospital for everyone to read. I will recommend it to my friends.
